Candidate Requirement:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Textile.
• Required language(s): English
• At least 7 Year(s) of working experience as an R&D Specialist in the Spinning Company (textile manufacturing company).
• Familiar with Yarn Products & Technology; familiar with Spinning process is a must

Job Purpose

• To ensure effective utilization of Pilot Plant and R & D lab facility for the overseas spinning business for timely new products (Yarn) development and sampling.
• To Develop New Yarn to enhance ABY Product Portfolio with clear focus on VAP.

 Job Description Pilot Plant Operations

• Optimum utilization of pilot plant through new product Development, sample development for RMH & COE, yarn sample development for group Unit.
• FIBRE to Yarn trial process, spinning process trial to set the Quality norms, Knitting.
• Joint Development with Fibre suppliers/Vendors/Customers/Business Units.
• Direct communication to all RMH & Group unit for new product development (Yarn)/sample requirement or any technical information/support to customer, interaction with FIBRE supplier and follow up for the FIBRE specs and information on new FIBRE supply.
• Transfer of Knowledge and process from Pilot Plant Stage to Bulk Production.
• Coordination with the operations team for the smooth functioning of Pilot Plant

 R&D Operations

• De-coding of market samples and give input to plan technical team for developing similar product in our facilities
• Ensure optimum utilization of the R&D department resources for the tangible value addition to the business with smooth functioning of the team.
• Record keeping and standardization of R&D activities.
• Centralization of the entire R&D work to bring a clear focus with defined key deliverables
• Identify gap in the present R&D department and to plan to fill the gap either through building capability or through outsourcing.

 New Yarn Development

• Development of innovative and profitable product to support product development department for finish product development & to establish USP, customer visit to set the new product and technical support to customer.
• Continuously look for innovation in product, process and application through research and development process.
• New product development (Yarn) / VAP samples for COE to prepare the fabric / Garment sample.
• Support product/business development with new sample collection (Yarn) from market and preparation with test reports.

 Conducting “prove- out” program for all the ABY the differentiated  products in comparison with generic competing product

• Design and develop SOP for prove out.
• Compilation and interpretation of data for drawing conclusions and giving inputs to production and product development team.
• Conduct a prove-out for all differentiated product either through in-house facility or by outsourcing to establish actual value advantages in ABY product over competition.

 Development work on New/Special technologies example: MVS, Siro, Compact and Open End to maximize the value creationTo study the performance of product from each technology in downstream processing until consumer
