The company was founded under the name of PT Interindo Danapraya in Jakarta on December 28, 1988, and changed its name to Makinta Securities on 14 July 1997. On August 26, 2016 the company’s name changed to PT Shinhan Sekuritas Indonesia through acquisition by Shinhan Investment Corp. which is 100% wholly-owned by the Shinhan Financial Group. Shinhan Investment Corp. is a top-tier investment bank & securities company with full licenses & distinguishable reputation world-wide.

The Company is registered as a member of Indonesia Stock Exchange. Business activities which the Company undertakes are engaged in broker dealer, underwriter and other activities with due regard to the Capital Market Supervisory Agency and / or Financial Services Authority.
