Merlion Resources Holdings Ltd. is registered in Hong Kong as a privately owned company with issued capital of USD28.5 Million. Established in 2012 as a former joint venture with one of the world largest energy and commodity trading group Mercuria Energy S.A. (ww.mercuria.com) in Hong Kong. The management team has accumulated more than 28 years of experience in commodity trading and finance. With extensive connection to the metals industry in China, we have a wide understanding of metallurgy and mining knowledge. The company’s core business includes metal trade, trade finance and mining investment in small scale.

Merlion is dedicated to trade ferrous and non-ferrous concentrates, metals and ores across the global. Today, Merlion trades wide varieties of metals, metal products and ores in countries including Africa, India, Mongolia, Indonesia, Vietnam, South America and East Europe. In year 2020, Merlion has traded 150K tons of copper concentrates and 80K tons of lead-zinc concentrates; 30K tons of ferrochrome, 30k tons of chrome ore and 100k tons of iron ore in total. The company’s turnover in year 2020 is up to USD255 Million and expected to grow with the increasing trade volume.

Merlion also participates in upstream infrastructure and mining projects in China, Indonesia (Pb-Zinc Mining and Ni Mining), Congo (Cu-Co Mining and copper smelter) and Africa (Cr ore, Sb-Au, Ta-Nb Mining and Cr-Fe smelter) for strategic trading opportunity.
