A Journey to Improve the Quality of Life

At the beginning of our journey in 200, the telecommunication sector took a major part of GLB development. Continuously growing as a bigger telecommunication and infrastructure company, GLB was involved in many prestigious projects in telecommunication industries including the construction of a fiber optic network along the 2600 km of Java in 2008. Furthermore, in 2009 the construction of fiber optic submarine cable from Batam to Dumai along 365 km, and the most memorable project is deploying a submarine cable through Jakarta – Batam – Singapore along 100 km.

The Progress to Leap Ahead

In 2008, we diversified our industry sector by developing another business in property. By 2011 we have built 570 units of apartment which is Cervino Village Apartment on Casablanca, one of the strategic business areas in Jakarta.Looking into the future, we see big opportunities in the internet & mobile business. Fuelled by growing broadband networks and IT infrastructures, we expect Indonesia to be one of the largest online market in the world. This vision has driven us to seek opportunities in this sector by creating several content provider companies to serve the needs of a growing demand for internet business in Indonesia.In 2012, as demand for energy grows constantly, we seek opportunities in the energy sector, especially in electricity generation and mining industry, driven by the high demand for renewable energy to support economic growth in Indonesia.The development plan of several Mini-Hydro Power Plants in Bengkulu and steam power plant in Medan is expected to be another milestone for GLB in the energy sector.
