Huayou International Mining (Hongkong) Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co.,Ltd, is based in Hongkong, with main function of overseas investment in mining and minerals.

Being specialized in investing and developing in global mineral assets of nickel, cobalt and lithium, which are the main materials for electric vehicle battery. With the trend of higher nickel in battery materials Huayou International Mining is now accelerating the expansion for upstream nickel resources development especially in Indonesia.

Huayue Nickel Cobalt, a on-construction project major controlled and operated by Huayou Cobalt trough Huayou International Mining, is located in Morowali, Indonesia, with total investment of 1.3 billion USD and production of nickel & cobalt hydroxide, which is the essential material for downstream EV battery raw material. The designed capacity of Huayue is 61k ton in nickel metal and is expected to commence production in early 2021.
