PROFILE SUMMARY

Packaging Technologist is responsible for define and develop packaging design, material, and specification as accordance with Reckitt Global Standard, also make improvement for packaging material related to cost, supplier, design, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prepare RFQ (Request Form Quotation) to procurement for primary packaging, If possible RFQ estimation for secondary packaging.
2. Create draft BOM (Bill Of Material), check BOM accuracy, inform to QMS and Packaging Manager.
3. Ensure artwork availability from Brand works in supplier and get color guidance for artwork dan ensure get supplier’s converting schedule and ensure delivery date.
4. Order and prepare for Packaging Material, trial line labeling / sleeving if necessary and andover and test samples to Laboratory.
5. Communicate to Marketing on color tolerance and distribute approved proof prints.
6. Get supplier testing result, get laboratory report and its approval and send report to supplier and procurement as a good proof of PM.
7. Conduct process validation amd verivication moulding.
8. Make molding process improvement initiatives.
9. Create report internally and report approval.
10. Make initiate order and get outer case samples.
11. Prepare designated product and conduct fitting test.
12. Do a trial tranportation (prepare the trial product, esure the label trial has been provide, and performe transportation test).
13. Meet and approach Packaging material supplier for improvements and issues in quality or process.
14. Visit supplier regularly and make audit periodic packaging quality to mass production line to verify and validate against specification.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor Degree in Packaging Engineering or related scientific field.
2. Have 3-4 years of experience in similar FMCG sector and packaging materials.
3. Technical knowledge of packaging materials and related processes.
4. Have knowledge of injection, blow & thermoforming and molds
5. Have knowledge of manufacturing technology (both on the making of the packaging components as well as the related filling, capping, labeling and packing technology and any other packaging technologies i.e. printing, aerosols, laminates, etc will be an added advantage)
6. Have knowledge of Intellectual Property issues associated with structural packaging design
7. Have knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and standards.
8. Proven track record to manage multiple multi-functional projects
9. Fluently in English communication.
