Job description & requirements

As a Packaging & Product Designer, your main responsibilities will revolve around creating captivating designs for physical goods, with a focus on packaging and product presentation. Your role will require close collaboration with cross-functional teams, market research, and a keen eye for detail. Here’s the adapted job description:

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough market research to gain valuable insights into user needs, behaviors, and pain points related to packaging and product design.
2. Generate innovative and visually appealing design concepts that effectively address user needs and align with product goals.
3. Create sketches, 3D renderings, and prototypes to communicate design concepts clearly and gather feedback from stakeholders.
4. Collaborate closely with other divisions and management to ensure design decisions align with product goals and technical feasibility.
5. Present and articulate design concepts and rationale effectively to the team, fostering a shared understanding of design goals.
6. Develop detailed illustrations of art arrangement, size, typography, and style, submitting them for approval.
7. Utilize design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch to create finished art for packaging and product presentation.
8. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality and feasibility of finished packaging and products.
9. Embrace an iterative design process, incorporating feedback from cross-functional teams and users to refine designs iteratively.
10. Maintain a strong attention to detail and efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
11. Adapt and iterate on designs based on constructive feedback to deliver high-quality designs on time.
12. Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, industry standards, and production processes to enhance design effectiveness.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Product Design, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a graphic designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing packaging and product design skills and creativity.
3. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch, with a focus on 3D rendering and packaging design tools.
4. Solid understanding of design principles, including typography, color theory, and layout composition, with a specific emphasis on packaging design.
5. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple packaging and product projects simultaneously.
6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively present and explain design concepts to stakeholders.
7. Ability to receive and incorporate constructive feedback to improve designs iteratively.
8. Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality packaging and product designs on time.
9. Knowledge of production processes and requirements specific to packaging and product design is a plus.
10. Willingness to work in Cikupa, Tangerang with Full Work From Office (WFO) setting.
