PT. Java Barging Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Staff to join our team. As an Operations Staff member, you will play a crucial role in monitoring vessel movements and activities at ports to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will work closely with various stakeholders, both internal and external, to coordinate vessel schedules, handle documentation, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor vessel movements, activities, and schedules to ensure timely and efficient operations.
• Coordinate with vessel captains, port authorities, agents, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth vessel operations and timely cargo handling.
• Handle documentation, including preparing and processing vessel-related paperwork, permits, and other relevant documents.
• Maintain accurate records of vessel activities, including data entry, tracking, and reporting.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external parties to provide updates on vessel status, delays, and other operational matters.
• Assist in resolving operational issues, such as scheduling conflicts, vessel delays, and port-related challenges.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Provide support in analyzing operational data and generating reports for management review.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in shipping operations or related field is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and/or local language.
• Proficient in using computer software, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to analyze operational data and generate reports.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with shipping regulations, port operations, and documentation is a plus.
• Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends, as needed, to support operational requirements.
