We are excited to be searching for a proactive and pragmatic Office Assistant with an interest in Value chain sustainability to join our team, and we hope it’s you!

Your role.

As Office Assistant within Liberia, you will be tasked with carrying out administration and finance related errands as directed by the Finance Officer and the Country Manager. In addition, you may be traveling occasionally to the field offices to lend support to the Landscape Program Manager and Program Officer as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out in-person bank transactions such as collecting check books, delivering requests for monthly Manager Checks or depositing unspent advances.
• Support financial information management and reporting.
• Maintain proper filing system for all finance and administration related documents such rental vehicle logs and related invoices.
• Review and verify financial reports from the Field Offices, keep a ledger for petty cash disbursements and report on expenditures at the end of each month.
• File vouchers and other supporting documents as directed by Operations Officer.
• Manage petty cash and related payments.
• Prepare vouchers for Operations Officer review and verification.
• Monitor maintenance activities and ensure that IDH premises are well kept.
• Carry out other duties and tasks commensurate with the responsibilities and level of the post.

What you bring.

• Preferably a college graduate with a degree in finance, accounting, management, or business-related courses
• Post-secondary education in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or Management.
• Minimum 2 years accounting experience.
• Good working knowledge of computers and MS Office package.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in recording information.
• Good knowledge and experience of accounting practice.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize objectives and workload.
• A high degree of integrity.
• Fluency in English language.
