As the National Sales Manager for Footwear, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue and profit targets for the footwear division of our company. You will lead a team of sales professionals, manage key accounts, and drive growth in the footwear market. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the footwear industry.

Job Description

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the footwear division, including setting sales targets and objectives.
• Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to help them achieve their sales goals.
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify opportunities and threats.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with key accounts, ensuring their needs are met and sales targets are achieved.
• Develop annual sales plans, budgets, and forecasts in collaboration with the executive team.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the footwear products in the portfolio and effectively communicate product features and benefits to the sales team and customers.
• Conduct regular training sessions for the sales team to improve product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer relationship management.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Generate and present sales reports to the executive team, providing insights and recommendations for future growth.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, attending trade shows and industry events as necessary.
• Work closely with demand planning and production teams to ensure adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand.
• Manage the sales budget effectively, controlling expenses while maximizing revenue.

Job requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven experience in footwear sales, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of the footwear industry, including trends, competitors, and customer preferences.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in sales forecasting and budget management.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
