Responsibilities:

1. Continually develop Kids Republic as a quality early childhood education program that implements authentic Montessori principles
2. Provides coaching, professional development and other support to help educators implement educational guidelines, procedures and practices to achieve the highest educational standards.
3. This role also provides guidance and feedback to Kids Republic educators, staff, leaders and decision-makers regarding strategic direction and program activities
4. Uses various types of programmatic data to provide quality assurance oversight for all programs, and ensures that program delivery meets the highest educational standards and aligns with Montessori principles

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required, Master’s degree preferred.
• Has Montessori diploma. Expertise in Montessori philosophy and practice.
• At least 5 years working with children 0-6.
• Must be a highly motivated team player with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Passionate about educating young minds and strengthening families and building community.  
• Demonstrated appreciation of diversity and support for social justice efforts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to coach and mentor adults.
• Flexibility to make thoughtful decisions in an evolving, multi-faceted environment with fluctuating demands.
• Ability to understand and use programmatic data to improve program quality.
• Must have oral and written proficiency in the English language.
• Must be able to work the hours of the position based on the organization’s needs, including willingness to participate in school after-hours events, as needed.
• Must have working knowledge of computers and be adept in commonly used software for email, internet, word processing, data collection, entry and analysis
