We’re looking for a Mechanical Supervisor to lead the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems in high-performance data center environments. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise, recognized trade qualifications, and a proactive approach to managing teams and subcontractors. Experience with liquid cooling technologies will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate mechanical installation activities across multiple project sites, ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and according to specifications.

  • Lead and mentor mechanical teams, maintaining high standards of workmanship and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

  • Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications, providing technical guidance and resolving issues during installation and commissioning phases.

  • Monitor and enforce health and safety standards through regular site inspections and toolbox talks.

  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other disciplines.

  • Oversee the installation and testing of HVAC, chilled water systems, and other mechanical infrastructure, with particular focus on liquid cooling solutions where applicable.

  • Maintain accurate records of work progress, inspections, and quality assurance documentation.

  • Support procurement and logistics teams in managing the delivery of mechanical materials and equipment.

  • Assist in developing and implementing mechanical commissioning plans and procedures.

  • Identify, assess, and escalate any risks or issues that could impact project delivery or system performance.

  • Represent the organisation professionally, upholding core values and behaviours with all internal and external stakeholders.

  • Maintain business and client confidentiality in accordance with Data Protection and Information Security standards.

Requirements:

  • Recognized trade qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Relevant certifications in mechanical systems, HVAC, or building services.

  • Proven experience supervising mechanical works in data centres or other high-specification infrastructure projects.

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with liquid cooling technologies, such as rear door heat exchangers, immersion cooling, or direct-to-chip cooling (advantageous).

  • Strong understanding of mechanical safety standards, regulations, and best practices.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.

  • Proficient in project management and reporting tools.

  • Willingness to travel and work across multiple project sites as required.
