Dragonships is a brand new start-up division under the patronage of Formulatrix, Inc that produces luxurious high technology boat and foil boards. Using the most advanced hydrofoil technology, we will bring a higher level of experience in sailing and surfing. Armed with an exceptional team, we believe in becoming a prominent leader in the hydrofoil boat industry.

As a Mechanical Engineer you’ll be responsible for the mechanical and automation part of our electric boats. That means you’ll play an essential role in the advanced hydrofoil technology we’re developing. You will have access to the tools, instruments, and all the cool capabilities you need to build anything you can imagine. You will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, so you are expected to be independent and be motivated to work with minimal supervision.

Job Description

• Collaborating with a team of engineers to design, prototype, and test mechanical and assembly parts of electric boats.
• Designing and creating tools, jigs, fixtures, molds, and structural components for boat manufacturing.
• Performing research and tests on composite materials.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues, including field testing scenarios on the sea during the boat’s testing phase.
• Preparing comprehensive reports and documentation to communicate findings and progress effectively.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Associate’s Degree (D3) or Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Strong expertise in mechanical design and exposure to robotics.
• Proficient in using CAD, CAM, and office applications.
• Experience working with composite materials such as fiberglass specifically knowledge of carbon fiber is a plus.
• Swimming skills are required.
• Highly motivated, strong team player, with a good ability to multi-task and re-prioritize as necessary.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English.
• Flexibility to travel to workshops in Salatiga or Semarang, and test sites across Java and Bali.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Salatiga.
