As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of mechanical design projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to create cutting-edge designs that meet technical specifications and customer requirements. Your expertise and problem-solving abilities will contribute to the success of our products and drive our company’s growth.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components, systems, and assemblies using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. Experience in AutoCAD, Inventor, solid works will be a plus
• Create detailed engineering drawings, models, and specifications for manufacturing purposes. Design jigs to help and ease the manufacturing and assembly process
• Perform calculations, simulations, and analysis to validate design concepts and ensure their feasibility.
• Conduct research and stay up to date with the latest industry trends, materials, and manufacturing processes to optimize product performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, objectives, and timelines.
• Coordinate prototype production and testing to validate design performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct design reviews and participate in technical discussions to drive innovation and enhance product functionality.
• Identify and troubleshoot design issues, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines throughout the design process.
• Support the manufacturing team during product implementation, providing guidance and resolving any design-related issues that may arise.
• Document and maintain accurate records of design changes, specifications, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source components and materials, ensuring their quality and adherence to specifications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience (3 years) as a Mechanical Design Engineer, preferably in steel or wood industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD will be a plus) and experience with engineering analysis tools (e.g., FEA, CFD).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations relevant to mechanical design.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
