Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Mandarin Translator with a passion for software development. Whether you have previous work experience in a software development company or not, if you possess the necessary language proficiency and a strong interest in the field, we welcome you to apply. As a Mandarin Translator, you will be responsible for translating various software-related documents, specifications, and technical materials from Mandarin to English/Indonesian and vice versa. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent language skills, and the ability to understand and convey complex technical concepts accurately.
Responsibilities:
– Translate software-related documents, including user manuals, technical specifications, software interfaces, and code comments, from Mandarin to English/Indonesian and vice versa.
– Ensure the accuracy and clarity of translations, maintaining consistency in technical terminology and effectively conveying complex concepts.
– Collaborate closely with software developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand and meet translation requirements.
– Participate in meetings, discussions, and conference calls with Mandarin-speaking team members and clients, providing real-time interpretation when necessary.
– Assist in the localization process of software applications, adapting them to Mandarin-speaking markets by translating UI elements, error messages, and other user-facing content.
– Provide linguistic and cultural guidance to the software development team, ensuring the translated materials are culturally appropriate and meet the expectations of Mandarin-speaking users.
Requirements:
– Fluency in Mandarin and English/Indonesian, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
– A strong interest in software development and a willingness to learn and understand technical concepts and terminology.
– Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality translations.
– Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
– Familiarity with common office software and translation tools is preferred.
– A degree in translation, linguistics, computer science, or a related field is desirable but not required.
– Professional certifications in translation or software localization will be considered a plus.
