About the role

China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation is seeking a Mandarin Translator for a contract position based in Makassar, South Sulawesi project. As a Mandarin Translator, you will play a vital role in facilitating effective communication between our company and our Chinese stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your linguistic skills and contribute to the successful delivery of our projects.

What you’ll be doing

Translate a wide range of documents, including contracts, reports, and correspondence, between Mandarin and Indonesian/English
Providing administrative support, including filing, document management, and data entry
Assisting travel arrangements, and other logistical tasks
Interpret during meetings, negotiations, and other business interactions involving Chinese and Indonesian/English speakers
Assist in the preparation of presentations, proposals, and other materials for our Chinese clients and partners
Maintaining office supplies and equipment, ensuring a well-organised work environment

What we’re looking for

Fluency in Mandarin both written and spoken (Preferably have HSK Certificate 5/6 )
Excellent translation and interpretation skills
Previous experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role, preferably in the contrcutions or engineering industry
Profficient in using office software such as Microsoft Office, Excel and Word.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
willing to be place in Makassar
