Role Overview: The Manager of Logistics for CBU Warehouse Stockyard and PDI is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics operations related to Completely Built Units (CBUs). This role encompasses managing the storage, distribution, and pre-delivery inspection of vehicles to ensure timely and efficient delivery to dealerships and customers. The role demands a strategic and hands-on approach to optimize logistics processes, enhance inventory management, and maintain high-quality standards in the pre-delivery inspection process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Logistics Management:

• Develop and implement strategies for the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of CBUs from stockyards and onward to dealerships.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and transportation, to ensure seamless logistics operations.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with demand planning teams to ensure optimal stock levels at the stockyard and PDI center.
• Stockyard Operations:
• Oversee the organization, layout, and maintenance of the CBU stockyard to ensure efficient vehicle storage and retrieval.
• Implement measures to safeguard the quality and condition of vehicles during storage.

1. PDI Management:

• Lead the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) process to ensure all vehicles meet quality and safety standards before delivery to customers.
• Develop and enhance PDI protocols and checklists to address technical, aesthetic, and safety requirements.

1. Team Leadership:

• Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of logistics and PDI professionals.
• Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

1. Quality Assurance:

• Establish and maintain quality control measures in stockyard organization, vehicle storage, and the PDI process.
• Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

1. Performance Metrics:

• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics and PDI operations, regularly analyzing data to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop action plans to achieve operational targets and drive process efficiency.

1. Supplier and Vendor Management:

• Collaborate with logistics partners, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of vehicles and components.
• Negotiate favorable terms and contracts with partners to optimize cost and service quality.

1. Compliance and Regulations:

• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations in all logistics and PDI activities.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field;.
• Proven experience (typically 6+ years) in logistics and supply chain management within the automotive industry, including exposure to warehouse and distribution management.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of effectively leading and developing teams.
• In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.
• Familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes, vehicle storage, and quality standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Proficiency in using logistics management software and tools.
• Understanding of safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements in logistics operations.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced and dynamic environments.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
