Description

1. Flavor Creation and Development: a. Take charge of developing casings and flavors for new cigarette products, aligned with customer preferences, including kretek, Asia’s OTP, and Asia’s Virginia variants. b. Lead innovation in flavor creation for other components like tipping paper, filter, tobacco stem, cigarette paper, and recon, aligning with project goals and Product Development objectives. c. Proactively identify new flavor application systems and monitor market trends to anticipate changing consumer preferences and guide creative approaches.
2. Flavor Formulas Maintenance & Integrity: a. Lead maintenance efforts for casings and flavors in existing products to ensure consistent taste and aroma of final items. b. Proactively conduct experiments for new casings and flavors, anticipating evolving market, consumer, and industry practices, including shifts in government regulations. c. Manage and drive simplification or substitution of HMS casing and flavor formulations in line with product specifications, business directives, and industry best practices.
3. Flavor Production (FCF) at Flavor Compounding Facility: a. Strategically plan production schedules, aligning with PPIC schedules and translating them into daily activities (500,000 – 600,000 tons/year). b. Oversee and plan flavor production (Flavor Compounding Facility) semi-concentrates to maintain consistent product quality. c. Control flavor compound production to meet production targets with optimal uptime, quality, and cost efficiency. d. Ensure proper protection of company assets in the Flavor Compounding Facility area, following company security policies. e. Manage safety, health, and environmental programs in the Flavor Compounding Facility area to ensure compliance and adherence to company policies.
4. Flavor Technology Project Support: a. Provide casings and flavors for prototyping in the pilot plant for Asia-focused initiatives. b. Offer flavor and product expertise for process improvements and innovations related to primary and secondary processes.
5. Vendor Qualification and Supplier Relationships: a. Actively seek alternative vendors, oversee procurement processes, and manage in-house casings and flavor production as needed. b. Foster ongoing mutually beneficial relationships with vendors.
6. Organization Development – People Development: a. Foster talent development for the regeneration process within Flavor Technology. b. Deliver comprehensive product knowledge training, present expertise, and offer sound guidance to ensure proper handling of flavor business operations across all stages, from incoming to application.

Profile

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Sciences.
• Demonstrate substantial experience within the Cigarette/flavors industry as a Flavorist.
• Exhibit a profound comprehension of sensory attributes and descriptions of individual flavor constituents.
• Hold a comprehensive grasp of various tobacco and clove varieties.
• Fluent in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
