The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the maintenance and repair of processing equipment, utilities, and facilities to ensure uninterrupted production of swallow’s nest products. This role requires technical expertise in industrial machinery, preventive maintenance strategies, and compliance with food-grade sanitation protocols. The ideal candidate will lead a team to minimize downtime, optimize equipment performance, and uphold the hygienic standards critical to our industry.

Responsibilities

·        Manage preventive and corrective maintenance for processing equipment (e.g., sterilization systems, drying units, packaging machinery) to ensure operational efficiency.

·        Oversee the calibration and servicing of temperature-controlled environments, cleanrooms, and storage facilities to preserve product integrity.

·        Develop maintenance schedules aligned with production cycles to minimize disruptions.

·        Ensure all equipment and facilities comply with food safety regulations (HACCP, ISO 9001, Halal) and hygiene standards.

·        Conduct routine inspections to identify and mitigate risks of contamination, equipment failure, or safety hazards.

·        Train maintenance staff on sanitation protocols and PPE usage.

·        Supervise and mentor a team of technicians, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

·        Coordinate cross-departmentally with production, QA, and engineering teams to prioritize urgent repairs and upgrades.

·        Respond swiftly to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing issues and implementing solutions to restore operations.

·        Maintain a spare parts inventory for critical machinery to reduce repair lead times.

·        Optimize energy consumption of HVAC systems, boilers, and utilities to support the company’s sustainability goals.

·        Recommend eco-friendly upgrades (e.g., energy-efficient motors, water recycling systems).

·        Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment histories, and compliance audits.

·        Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, forecast costs, and improve reliability.

Qualifications

·        Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.

·        5+ years in maintenance supervision, preferably in food processing, pharmaceuticals, or FMCG industries.

·        Proficiency in HVAC, and industrial automation.

·        Knowledge of food-grade lubrication, sanitation protocols, and CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems.

·        Certifications training in HACCP / GMP standards is plus

·        Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

·        Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

·        Familiarity with automated packaging and sterilization technologies.

·        Ability in confined spaces.

Must be fluent in English or Mandarin.
