The Maintenance Staff will perform hands-on maintenance and repairs of processing equipment, utilities, and facilities to ensure uninterrupted production. This role requires technical proficiency, strict adherence to food safety protocols, and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance. The ideal candidate will support equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and uphold the hygienic standards critical to swallow’s nest processing.
Responsibilities
· Conduct routine preventive maintenance on processing machinery (e.g., sterilization units, drying systems, packaging equipment).
· Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to resolve breakdowns swiftly.
· Assist in calibrating temperature-controlled environments and cleanrooms to preserve product quality.
· Follow strict hygiene protocols during maintenance activities to prevent contamination (e.g., using food-grade lubricants).
· Clean and sanitize tools, work areas, and equipment in compliance with HACCP/GMP standards.
· Adhere to safety procedures, including PPE usage and confined space entry protocols.
· Report potential hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors immediately.
· Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring availability of critical components to minimize downtime.
· Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
· Work closely with production, QA, and engineering teams to prioritize maintenance tasks during production cycles.
· Support sustainability initiatives (e.g., energy-efficient equipment upgrades, waste reduction).
· Participate in on-call rotations to address urgent repairs and ensure 24/7 operational readiness.
Qualifications:

Vocational school, High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.

1–3 years in maintenance roles, preferably in food processing, pharmaceuticals, or FMCG industries.

Basic knowledge of HVAC, and industrial automation.

Familiarity with hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment (multimeters, calipers).

Understanding of food-grade sanitation practices and CIP systems.

Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and in teams under tight deadlines.

Capable of climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces or at heights.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed.
