As they continue to expand our portfolio, they are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Manager to join the team and ensure legal compliance and efficient management of legal affairs.

Description

1. Legal Compliance:

• Ensure the company’s operations comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to property development and management in Indonesia.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact the property industry and proactively advise the management on necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.

1. Contract Drafting and Review:

• Draft, review, and negotiate various legal agreements, including lease agreements, purchase agreements, construction contracts, and vendor contracts.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including project teams and external legal counsel, to ensure contracts are fair, legally sound, and align with the company’s interests.

1. Land Acquisition and Due Diligence:

• Oversee the process of land acquisition, conducting necessary due diligence, title searches, and liaising with local authorities to ensure legal requirements are met.
• Provide legal support during land negotiations and transactions to protect the company’s interests and minimize potential risks.

1. Regulatory Affairs:

• Interface with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and local municipalities to obtain necessary permits, licenses, and approvals for property development projects.
• Assist in resolving any legal disputes, litigations, or arbitration matters related to property developments, lease agreements, or other legal issues.

1. Intellectual Property:

• Protect the company’s intellectual property rights related to property branding and marketing materials.
• Oversee trademark registrations and respond to any infringement issues.

1. Corporate Governance:

• Ensure adherence to corporate governance principles and compliance with the company’s internal policies and procedures.
• Assist in organizing and conducting board meetings and maintain accurate records of meeting minutes and resolutions.

1. Risk Management:

• Identify legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
• Advise senior management on potential legal risks associated with business decisions and provide proactive solutions.

1. Legal Research and Analysis:

• Conduct legal research on various topics affecting the property industry, staying updated with changes in legislation and case law.
• Provide clear and concise legal advice to internal stakeholders on complex legal matters.

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law from an accredited university. A master’s degree or higher qualification in a relevant field will be an advantage.
• At least 5 years of relevant legal experience in the property industry, with a solid understanding of property development, real estate transactions, and regulatory affairs in Indonesia.
• PERADI licensed.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian property laws, regulations, and industry practices.
• Excellent negotiation, contract drafting, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work in a dynamic environment.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Fluency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia is essential.
