Overview:

The Legal Executive is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support to the organization. Responsible for conducting legal research, drafting, and reviewing legal documents, maintaining document organization, and providing contract management assistance. Additionally, the Legal Executive ensures compliance with laws and regulations, supports compliance and regulatory activities, assists in litigation management, and provides administrative support to the legal team.

Job Responsibility:

Legal Research and Documentation:

  • Conduct legal research on various topics and present findings to the legal team.
  • Assist in the preparation of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and legal memoranda.
  • Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain an organized system for storing and retrieving legal documents.

Contract Management:

  • Assist in the review, drafting, and negotiation of contracts and agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information for contract preparation.
  • Maintain a centralized contract database and track key contract milestones and deadlines.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of corporate and commercial agreements.
  • Monitor and update contract templates and standard clauses to reflect legal requirements and best practices.

Compliance and Regulatory Support:

  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to the organization’s operations.
  • Assist in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct compliance audits and investigations, as directed.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to compliance activities.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of corporate governance documents.

Litigation Support:

  • Assist in managing litigation matters, including document collection, review, and production.
  • Coordinate with external counsel and internal stakeholders on litigation-related matters.
  • Prepare case summaries, legal briefs, and other litigation documents.
  • Maintain case files and ensure proper organization and record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel on complex legal matters and litigation cases.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of legal matters, contracts, and documentation.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative assistance to the legal team, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and making travel arrangements if any.
  • Assist with maintaining legal department budgets and tracking expenditures.
  • Handle general correspondence and communications on behalf of the legal team.
  • Handle any other legal or related tasks as assigned by the legal department or senior management.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of working experience as a Legal Executive, Legal Assistant, or similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • Solid knowledge of legal principles, procedures, and terminology.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to effectively gather and synthesize information.
  • Excellent English and Bahasa Indonesia written and verbal communication skills as all the documentation required to be in these 2 languages.
  • Proficient in using legal research tools and software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal case management software.
  • Willing to work in West Jakarta.
