Roles and Responsibilities (Legal Counsel/Legal Manager)

1. Drafting, vetting, and negotiation of agreements including distributorship, sales, and marketing in a manner that helps the business achieve objectives while at the same time protecting legal and regulatory aspects. Coordinate and follow-ups with internal and external parties as necessary.
2. To provide timely and effective legal advice to the Group in Indonesia to ensure that its interests are protected while meeting the Group’s commercial objectives.
3. To highlight and assist in the effective management of risks for the Group in Indonesia (balance legal risks while helping to achieve the Group’s objectives and commercial interests).
4. Provide continued support on the creation, standardization and implementation of the company and group policies, terms & conditions, internal working procedures, and standard operational guidelines.
5. Protect/manage the Group’s intellectual property assets and proprietary information
6. Oversee the corporate secretarial function of the Group in Indonesia, manage corporate secretarial agents, streamline the Group’s corporate secretarial processes, and ensure compliance.
7. Support various litigation and disputes and coordinate with relevant stakeholders, including outside litigation counsel.
8. Staying abreast of legal and regulatory developments and sharing such knowledge within the Group Training
9. To monitor/ administer key contracts (e.g., distributorship agreements), obligations, and undertakings.

Requirements

1. Bachelor of Law (Sarjana Hukum), Master’s Degree is a plus, from a reputable university;
2. Minimum 7 years of working experience at prominent companies and/or law firms;
3. Significant experience in drafting, reviewing, and completing legal documents both in English and Indonesian language;
4. Ability to work independently or in a team, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines;
5. Hold an advocate license;
6. Excellent communication skills in both Indonesian and English, both verbal and written; and
7. Ability to provide high-quality research and analysis with good administrative skills.
