As a Legal Counsel, you will play a critical role in ensuring legal compliance, providing expert legal advice, and supporting the company’s mission to protect and preserve natural ecosystems through responsible investment practices. Description

1. Legal Compliance: Ensure that the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations in Indonesia and other relevant jurisdictions.
2. Legal Advice: Provide expert legal guidance and support on a wide range of matters, including contracts, corporate governance, environmental regulations, and intellectual property.
3. Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents with a keen focus on risk mitigation and protection of the company’s interests.
4. Regulatory Affairs: Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to the company’s operations and advise on necessary adjustments or actions.
5. Corporate Governance: Assist in maintaining and enhancing the company’s corporate governance framework and policies.
6. Dispute Resolution: Manage and resolve legal disputes and conflicts as they arise, including liaising with external counsel when necessary.
7. Environmental Compliance: Advise on environmental compliance matters related to the company’s investment projects and initiatives.
8. Training and Awareness: Provide legal training and awareness programs to internal teams to ensure a culture of compliance and legal understanding.
9. Due Diligence: Conduct legal due diligence for potential investments and transactions, identifying and assessing legal risks and opportunities.
10. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with external legal partners, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to represent the company’s legal interests effectively.

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law; a Master’s degree or additional certifications is a plus.
• Willing to be located full-time in Bali.
• Licensed to practice law in Indonesia.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a legal counsel or attorney, preferably with a background in corporate law, environmental law, or finance.
• Strong understanding of Indonesian legal systems and regulations.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong ethical standards and commitment to sustainability.
