Get to know the Role

We are seeking a visionary Lead Data Engineer to join our innovative team in Jakarta, Indonesia. As a key member of our data engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our data infrastructure to support critical business decisions and drive organizational growth. This position will be reporting to Manager.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Architect and develop robust, scalable data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow across multiple systems
• Optimize data processing workflows for enhanced performance, scalability, and reliability
• Establish and enforce data governance policies to maintain data quality, integrity, and regulatory compliance
• Implement advanced security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure data privacy
• Design and refine data models that support both analytical and operational use cases
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide innovative solutions
• Mentor and guide junior data engineers, conducting regular code reviews and providing constructive feedback
• Monitor data systems, implement automated alerting solutions, and resolve issues to ensure high availability and performance
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in the data engineering field

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles within large-scale data warehouse environments
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing data pipelines using tools such as Airflow and Fargate
• Strong proficiency in working with cloud-based data warehousing solutions, particularly Amazon Redshift
• Extensive experience with APIs and Web Application platforms
• Advanced skills in data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes
• Proficiency in SQL and Python programming languages
• Solid understanding of data governance principles and security best practices
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Proven ability to address complex challenges and lead diverse technical teams
• Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners, with the ability to work effectively across departments
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
