Get to Know the Role

This Art Director role isn’t your average “make it pretty” job. You’ll be the visual lead for GrabExpress, while also supporting projects from Grab Transport (yes, two exciting brands—double the fun, double the challenge).

You’ll take ideas from rough scribbles to standout visuals that achieve results. You’ll partner with copywriters, marketers, and partners to build campaigns that break the clutter. And you’ll help shape how Grab looks with millions across Southeast Asia.

If you’re the kind of person who sees a blank slide and already imagines a full-blown campaign in your head. We want that kind of energy. Reporting to the manager, you will work onsite in our Jakarta Head Office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Lead the creative direction for GrabExpress, from concept to execution
• Support Grab Transport with visual ideas and thoughtful implementation
• Bring briefs to life with clear, strategic, and brand-aligned visuals
• Work with writers, marketers, and business teams to build integrated campaigns
• Mentor junior designers—because you’re a team player, not a lone wolf
• Always push for better: better ideas, better craft, better impact

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree from relevant majors
• At least 2 years of experience as an Art Director with responsibilities in planning and leading visual direction
• Eye for design: layout, color, typography, and composition
• English proficiency both verbal and written
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Capability to turn briefs into clear, impactful visuals
• Familiar with digital and print formats (social, in-app, OOH)
• Understand branding and visual consistency
