Position Introductory:

We are looking for an achievement-oriented and self-motivated candidate with end user support, procurement working experience and responsible for planning and engineering the company’s systems infrastructure. This includes performance monitoring of the systems, patch management of client workstations. The candidate will design, analyze, evaluate, test and implement strategies for applications and infrastructure systems in support for our long-term revenue growth goals.

Responsibilities:

• Manage infrastructure services provided by vendor/s to ensure connectivity, availability of applications and services within the company both locally and regionally

• Ensure servers under management are patched timely and hardened according to IT Security guides

• Assist in review and update producers and guidelines pertaining to IT Security and Business Continuity Plan (BCP).

• Manage Windows Domain Controller, Windows server, VM Infrastructure, Office365, Firewall configurations etc

• Overall in-charge and manage acquisition and maintenance of assets (H/W, S/W, Licensing, Subscriptions, etc)

• Plan and conduct IT BCP tests including Disaster Recovery for IT systems

• Conduct security awareness training and manage security vulnerabilities

• Custodian of contracts for support and maintenance

• Support and evaluate new technology solutioning and implementation

• Install, support and maintain hardware and software IT infrastructure such as printer, CCTV, Biometric assess, Wifi controllers, IP and PBX telephony system

• Work the Corporate HQ IT team to strategize on improving End User IT experience as well as ensure low impact to End Users when deploying or upgrading IT Services

• Enforce policies, procedures and standards eg: Incident management and Change management within the team. Assist in managing planned/ad-hoc projects and ensuring cohesive team performance

• Manage IT assets, software licenses, maintenance and inventory list in country

• Facilitate high level functional specifications discussion and participate system integration testing with Infrastructure and Application team

• Provide training and demonstration and produce training and demonstration materials to business team

• Meet with business team managers to understand business priorities and translate them into procurement and implementation plans 

• Engage with IT vendors, negotiate pricing, request for quotation, manage and monitor IT vendor performance and delivery schedule

• Support in Ad-hoc IT project deployment (migration, setting new Corporate software, change/refresh of equipment etc)

• Design network structure (including configuring network devices)

• Participant in IT Audit and DRP

Requirements:

• At least a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree or Professional Degree in Computer Science/ Engineering /IT or equivalent

• Experience with server performance tuning, capacity planning and reporting desirable

• Min 3 years hands on practical experience troubleshooting operating system and network problems

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision, effectively assuming project ownership and manage all aspects of a project rollout from beginning to end

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Project Management experience is an advantage

• Understand End to End architecture and requirements for applications including H/W, Servers, Virtualisation, Backup services and connectivity

• Ability to work well with vendors/outsourcing partners

• Good working knowledge in Microsoft Technologies (Windows 10, Windows Server OS, SharePoint, MS SQL, Office Suite)

• Good knowledge of other technologies used in IT infrastructures, Virtualization, Networks, SANS storage, Backup, DB and middleware and Cloud technologies

• Liaise with service providers on problem rectification and preventive action plans

• Occasional overseas/local travel may require
