IT Project Manager

Tree4Trees has an immediate opening for an experienced manager of information system development projects at our office location in Semarang Indonesia. The successful candidate will manage a group of programmers developing database, web applications and websites. As the Manager, you will also be supporting the operations and systems users in the office and in the field. Responsibilities will include working with management, operations and outside contractors on ongoing upgrades of the field operations management system and websites. 

The IT Project Manager is responsible for:

• Designing detailed project specifications through discussions with management and operational staff.
• Creating the specification for development projects, including defining the scope, allocating resources, setting deadlines, laying out communication strategies, conducting tests and maintenance.
• Determining the appropriate technology to be used for a project.
• Assembling and leading the project team.
• Participating in and supervising each stage of the project.
• Ensuring each project stays on schedule and follows the deadlines.
• Determining and overseeing consistent testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting of all products in all stages of completion.
• Tracking milestones, deliverables, and change requests.
• Serving as a liaison to communicate information regarding changes, milestones reached, and other pertinent information.
• Delivering completed software projects to users and performing regular checks on the products’ performance.

The successful candidate should have:

• A College degree in a relevant field or a similar combination of education and experience
• Fluent spoken English language.
• Two or more years of IT-related working experience with emphasis on the development and maintenance of databases and websites.
• Management and operations of Cloud based systems (Azure, AWS)
• Ability to understand customer systems and related interfaces 
• SQL – MySQL experience required. Experience with CMS and CRM systems a plus.
• Good understanding of various programming languages and frameworks – SQL, Javascript, PHP, Laravel, etc
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols including TCP/IP, both wired and wireless
• Ability to provide professional and comprehensive reports, both written and oral
• Experience in providing training to end users at a non-technical level.
