                                              IT MANAGER

General requirements are as follows:

  • At least 5-10 years of fulltime professional experience in IT infrastructure management, network design and administration, and security protocols.
  • At least 3 years as IT manager with team management and project management experience. 
  • Strong grasp of Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID administration, Exchange Online, Azure, and Microsoft365/Office365. Practical knowledge of Windows Defender, Intune and other Microsoft security applications is desirable.  
  • Strong leadership skills and proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Language: English proficiency both in verbal and written communication

Responsibilities: 

We are seeking an experienced and versatile IT Manager who will also cover the Infrastructure, Network, and Security areas within our IT team. This multifaceted role involves overseeing critical aspects of our IT systems, ensuring seamless operations, robust security, and efficient network management. As an IT Manager, you will report to [             ] and lead the IT team of 2-3 members. 

Here are the key responsibilities:

  1. Design and Manage IT Systems:
    • Plan, design, deploy, and maintain IT systems, including hardware devices,  software applications, cloud applications (such as Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics), networks, servers, Microsoft infrastructure and security components.
    • Ensure high performance, availability, disaster recovery, and scalability of IT systems.
    • Evaluate hardware and software options to optimize performance and cost-effectiveness.
    • Identify issues and communicate with management for implementing appropriate solutions for both risk management and value delivery.  
    • Oversee technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users. 
  2. Network Management:
    • Create and maintain efficient and secure network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, wireless networks, and VPN, ensuring seamless communication across different locations.
    • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network configurations.
    • Implement security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
    • Maintain and keep up to date comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.
  3. Server Management:
    • Handle server selection, configuration, security measures, and ongoing maintenance on both physical and virtual servers.
    • Oversee server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring.
    • Maintain and keep up to date comprehensive documentation for all configurations.
  4. Security and Compliance:
    • Conduct regular risk assessments, develop IT security policies and procedures, and implement measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption, to safeguard the company’s data and IT assets. 
    • Ensure data backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans are in place and tested regularly.
    • Develop and maintain documents on internal processes and procedures related to IT systems and operation. 
  5. Microsoft 365 Administration:
    • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within Active Directory and Entra ID. 
    • Oversee the administration of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
  6. Incident Response and Recovery:
    • Lead incident response efforts in case of security breaches or system failures.
    • Investigate incidents, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
    • Collaborate with external security experts and law enforcement agencies as needed.
  7. Team Leadership:
    • Manage IT team by recruiting, training and coaching the staff, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance. 
    • Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members.
  8. Project Management
    • Liaise with management and various departments to understand their IT requirements and align projects with the overall business goals.
    • Lead IT projects for design, plan, management and procurement, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the desired objectives.
  9. Vendor Management:
    • Collaborate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure smooth and secure operation of IT systems.
    • Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
    • Monitor vendor performance and enforce contractual obligations.
