Your new company

A well renowned architectural interior design consulting firm that specializes in creating custom commercial office, retail, hospitality and residential spaces is currently seeking for Interior Designer to be based in our Jakarta office. Reporting to the Design Director in Jakarta, you will work closely with the Design & Project Managers in conceptualizing design ideas according to requirements that are functional, appealing and appropriate for the space, within the Commercial Office Fit-out space

Your new role

As an Interior Designer, you will be the key figure in the conceptual development of interior space planning including three-dimensional design development, resolution of space planning requirements, and materiality to establish the design direction for a project with the team for the Singapore region. These will all translate towards you delivering a truly client-centric solution for multinational and local companies across the region.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Develop Space Planning and Design development to brainstorm for design direction and conceptualization, aligned to developing inspirational story boards based on the project brief, from a concept image and storyline to actual material specifications, furnishings, lightings etc.

• Develop presentation skills in general public communication with confidence, verbalizing conceptual thoughts, demonstrating good listening ability and comprehension during client presentation and “sell works” to our clients

• Collaborate with suppliers/vendors, Quantity Surveyors (QS) and Construction Team to develop and understand the cost/budget for its quality finishes involved based on your story board for client presentation.

• SketchUp or Enscape 3D modeling: demonstrates understanding of how AI Associates utilizes SketchUp as a design development tool, speed of comprehension and application to produce a presentable 3D renderings proposal

• Attend Weekly Client Consultant Meetings /Sites during project kick-off as to review the team deliverables for accuracy, efficiency and thoroughness for its design execution and its design elements. This also includes site analysis and proper assessment of inventory levels.

• Responsible for the development, completeness of details & drawings and conduct site measurements /validation to ensure construction works are carried out as per plan, with accordance to the specialist details and shop drawings

What you’ll need to succeed

• Work experience of 5 – 6 years specializing in Interior Architecture & Design (Commercial Office ID Fit-Out space is a must) within the domains of space planning & design development.

• Strong knowledge of AutoCad, SketchUp, Adobe PhotoShop as well as Microsoft Office Applications, particularly MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.

• Knowledgeable in design trends, raw materials application and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness are required.
