INTERIOR DESIGN WITH DRAFTING CAPABILITIES

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Team Leader, the Designer will be responsible for the initial design conception, technical development and execution of assigned project phases and assembly and maintenance of related documents. The Designer is expected to perform at an advanced level as a result of their extensive training and/or experience as well as hands-on on drafting as required.

Reporting Relationship:

The Designer reports to the Team Leader on design project-related matters, Junior Design positions may take direction from the Senior Designer/Team Leader.

Responsibilities:

• Assume a role in designing presentations in communicating directly with clients and ensure that the format is compatible with office and client standards/requirements.
• Conceptualize design direction for the overall project and communicate to the project team.
• Communicate project status to Team Leader on a regular basis and develop and maintain communication with all project team members.
• Review and understand with professional proficiency detailed construction documents including floor plans,
• elevations and sections, electrical details, schedules (finish, plumbing, door, fixture), furniture floor plans, FF&E
• specifications, materials, and finishes to determine compliance in areas of quality, code, and design.
• Focus on service delivery while monitoring the status of assigned project tasks against the project schedule and participate in quality reviews of projects.
• Transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using AutoCAD as required ;
• Review engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards ;
• Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs ;
• Works under moderate supervision

Requirements:

• 2-5 years experience in interior design projects to join our creative, dynamic & fast-paced team
• Holds a minimum diploma or certificate in technical drafting and a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture from a reputable local or international university/college
• Fluent with AutoCAD, understand space planning, know how to manipulate Sketchup models and convert them into working drawings.
• Understand the processes of ID documentation drawings covering plans, elevation, details

Qualifications:

• Can communicate in both Bahasa Indonesia and English (entry-level)
• Proactive and practices efficiently in delivering their work within the agreed timeline
• Ability to work under pressure and be attentive to details and deadlines.
• The right candidate should have a technical and inquisitive mindset to be able to work independently or to follow directions/support the design team
• Innovative and has a strong willingness to work in a high-output CAD production team
