What you’ll be doing day to day:

• Prepare, review and submit documents related to import and export declaration/customs process to broker agent. Understand well and know how to submit import realization

• Customs clearance: Liaise with customs authorities to ensure smooth clearance of imported and exported goods, resolve any issues that arise and address customs inquiries or audits

• Tariff classification: Accurately classify imported and exported goods according to customs tariff codes to determine duty rates and ensure compliance with trade regulations

• Monitor shipments and coordinate with customs, carriers and broker to ensure timely arrival of goods. Ensure compliance document for customs purpose and secure customs operation complies with specific rules & regulations

• Stay up-to-date: Stay informed about changes in import trade regulations, tariffs and customs requirements to ensure compliance and adapt import/export processes accordingly

• Communicate with different internal and external stakeholders to establish new and optimize existing import and export customs and operation process for availability and lower cost

• Manage broker performance and evaluate, be involved in customs broker cost budgeting and follow up. Maintain relationship with customs authority to achieve smooth customs operation & compliance

• Analyze and propose the solution to customs system or tool, to meet new and running business needs

• Negotiate contracts and terms of agreement with broker or ocean carrier

We want you to be a person who:

• International Business, Logistics, Transport Management, Industrial Engineering or related background

• Proven experience (3-4 years) in Import and Export operations, preferably in a similar role. Strong knowledge of international import regulations (Document, HS Code check-classification, incoterm, Tariff duty, FTA)

• Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics principles. Strong communication, negotiation and customer service skills

• Detailed knowledge of import processes, customs regulation, compliance and update regulations. Experiences make or renew import license and submit import realization

• Understand the quarantine process and pre inspection process. Understand transport scheme and ability to relate with shipping company (liner)

• Good problem-solving and analytical skills

• Excellent written and verbal in English and proficiency in Ms. Office
