Responsibilities:

• Develop design criteria for HVAC/AHU for process/production building including special room such as mcc, control room, cable room, offices etc.).
• Preference is familiarity with paper machine and or tissue machine, converting plant.
• Prepare calculation for air balance, thermal load, cooling load, flow rate, to make sure good ventilation according to global standard and operation by using proven engineering tool and method
• Review and approve basic and detailing engineering for HVAC, Issue approve construction drawing
• Prepare design, flow sheet/pid and specification for utilities requirement to support HVAC system including water system, air system, power system, ducting, chiller system, and etc
• Prepare tender document and to follow up procurement activities, technical bid evaluation, delivery equipment to project site, monitor and supervise construction and commissioning.
• Review and approved contractor construction method, construction drawing and as built drawing.
• Review general lay out and provide input to make sure all HVAC/AHU requirement stated in document and drawing (e.g. opening, ducting routing, fan positioning, cable routing etc)
• Interdisciplinary coordination with civil, mechanical, electrical and instrument/automation to define final lay out, architectural, opening requirement, ducting routing
• Knowledge of fire protection system to make sure HVAC/AHU design and construction according to local and international applicable standard.
• Knowledge of regional/ international code such as ASHRAE, ASTM, ASME, EN, ISO, SNI, IEC, NFPA, FM 200 codes
• Provide guide line for ducting installation and testing. To review and approved contractor quality plan regard to ducting installation and testing.
• Define PT, RT, Ultrasonic and magnetic particle test requirement to ensure work is done in excellent quality.
• To update available engineering HVAC standard to always meet international benchmark
• Prepare bill material and bulk material for project budgetary, assign unit rate/cost in reference with available benchmark
• Provide scope of work and responsibility matrix for equipment installation tendering, technical bid evaluation including proposal review for manning, quality procedure, equipment loading, schedule, tools etc.
• Provide supervision during project execution, close coordination with project manager, discipline manager, end user and contractors.
• Verify site instruction, design change request, completed works issued by contractor.
• Monitor construction work to achieve delivery schedule, provide solution and trouble shooting during execution and commissioning
• Provide and develop guidelines for HVAC commissioning and testing.
• Coordination with related vendor/contractor to make sure no issue left unsolved during project execution to make sure smooth hand over to end user.
• Use design tools such as CAD 3D, PDMS, NAVIS especially for HVAC design software Elites, Carrier or similar.

 Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
• At least 8 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably experience in EPC project of Pulp & Paper Mills, Power Plant, Chemical Plant.
• Required language(s): English
• Preferably Manager/Coordinator specializing in Engineering – Mechanical HVAC
• Contract position is available.
• Placement: South Sumatera
