JOB PURPOSE

  • This role is crucial and fully accountable for ensuring that CH Product Supply Regional operations, both internally and externally, align with health standards, safety and environmental regulations, and sustainability goals.
  • This VACC leader plays a vital role in shaping the HSE & Sustainability regional culture of the CH PS organization, ensuring compliance, promoting sustainability, and driving continuous improvement.
  • In addition, this role involves setting ambitious sustainability goals, implementing initiatives that align with corporate values, and fostering a culture of sustainability throughout the PS organization.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Regional Outcomes:

  • Enhanced Localized Regulatory Compliance across the region, internal and external operations, end to end of supply chain through standardization of HSE & Sustainability practices and centralized system for tracking, auditing and reporting compliance performance, enhanced by digital to enable data-driven solutioning and decision making.
  • Cultural Shift Towards Zero Harm and Zero Waste – cultivate a regional PS wide culture that prioritizes HSE & Sustainability through training and awareness programs. Measure employee perception and engagement through surveys and feedback mechanisms.
  • Localized Employee HSE & Sustainability Training & Development – programs that ensure all employees are educated on HSE & Sustainability policies and best practices with measurable improvements in knowledge, compliance and performance.
  • Localized Risk and Crisis Reduction and Management framework that effectively identifies and mitigates HSE & Sustainability risks across all regions. Utilizing digital analytics and Ai toward intelligent risk management.
  • Localized Sustainable Reporting, Transparency and Practices Integration into all operational processes, aiming for measurable reduction in resource (energy, water, and material) consumption. Achieve sustainability certifications across the business as defined by sustainability strategy and requirements.
  • Localized Internal and External Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration foster collaboration with stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and local communities to promote sustainability initiatives. Establish partnerships, strengthen relationships with global regulatory bodies, and industry groups to support global sustainability efforts and best practices.
  • Innovation in HSE & Sustainability – drive innovation by implementing new technologies and practices the embrace HSE & Sustainability. Launch pilot projects aimed at reducing carbon footprints and improving waste management.
  • Localized Emergency Preparedness and Response – develop comprehensive emergency preparedness plans that address global risks, ensuring readiness for natural disasters, health crises, and other emergencies. Ensure regular drills and training sessions enhance response capabilities.
  • Continuous Improvement & Adaptation – establish a framework for continuous improvement in HSE & Sustainability and maintain updated policies and procedures to adapt to changing regulations and industry standards.
  • Exemplary key decisions the role is empowered to take on behalf of CH PS:
  • REGIONAL HSE & SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY, TARGETS, POLICY DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION: across PS to ensure compliance to global and local regulatory requirements and sustainability commitments.
  • REGIONAL RISK ASSESSMENT & MANAGEMENT: determining the approach to risk assessment and the implementation of mitigation strategies for identified hazards or non regulatory compliance.
  • REGIONAL TRAINING & EDUCATION PROGRAMS: deciding on the content, format, and frequency of training programs aimed at enhancing employee awareness and compliance to HSE & Sustainability practices.
  • REGIONAL SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES: identify and drive initiatives that promote environmental responsibilities and align with corporate goals, reporting and commitments.
  • REGIONAL CRISIS & EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT: approve emergency response plans and crisis management strategies tailored to potential incidents as defined by business continuity plans and framework.
  • REGIONAL PERFORMANCE MONITORING & REPORTING: define metrics for monitoring HSE & Sustainability performance and decide on reporting frequency and format.
  • CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: decide on strategies for continuous improvement based on data and approve methods for investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • REGIONAL COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE: develop a community of practice to drive adoption, engagement and acceleration of the HSE & Sustainability agenda.

  • Work with internal stakeholders such as PS, RMSQC, Customer and product teams;
  • External parties such as agencies

WHO YOU ARE

  • 10+years of related working experience is needed.
  • REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE EXPERTISE: In-depth knowledge of HSE & Sustainability regulations with the ability to conduct risk assessment and develop effective mitigation strategies. International experience in
  • HSE & Sustainability, as well as Management Systems Standards (e.g. ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, GMP)
  • LEADERSHIP AND COLLABORATION: high capacity to inspire and motivate employees to prioritize HSE & Sustainability and to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Strong change management skills and willing as courageous change agent to experiment with new paths and ways of working. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with and manage relationships with stakeholders at various levels, both internally (within the local business and regional management team) and externally.
  • STRATEGIC THINKING: Ability to think strategically and develop HSE & Sustainability strategy and roadmap aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
  • COMMUNICATION & TRAINING: skills in designing and delivering training programs on all aspects of HSE & Sustainability practices. Strong verbal and written communication to engage divers audience to embrace
  • HSE & Sustainability culture.
  • SUSTAINABILITY AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: strong knowledge base of sustainable practices and the ability to implement impactful initiatives. Commitment to ongoing learning and improvement in HSE & Sustainability.
  • DATA MANAGEMENT & ANALYSIS: proficiency in analyzing performance data, comprehensive reporting, and strong problem-solving skills for identifying issues and solutions.
