JOBS DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIROMENTAL 

• Comply with all applicable health, safety and environmental laws, regulations and statutory obligations at all times and knowledge of Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.

• Areas of management are conducted in accordance with the company polices and statutory obligations for HSE.

• Establish effective and measurable site objectives, targets and ensures that effective policies, procedures and work instructions are implemented.

• Provide leadership in the Safety Section of the Site HSE Department.

• Provide leadership and advice on HSE issues to all Departments and Subcontractors.

• Provide planning and management of the overall HSE Management System Development activities. 

• Ensure all HSE Management System Documents are maintained and reviewed and update HSE folder regularly. 

• Lead the document control officers on the effectiveness of the Documents Control System implementation. 

• Supervises the provision of a safe work environment for company s employees, properties and sub contractors’ personnel. Promote awareness of HSE practices to all employees on site.

• Manage the effective HSE performance of the department (including subcontractor) and report performance and continuous improvement actions.

• Conduct regular for internal SOP / hazard identification inspections in all operational areas with supervisor in charge, be alert for potential hazardous situations and take corrective action immediately on all hazardous situations.

• Develop Emergency Plans for all areas, to ensure that effective response in the event of an emergency will occur.

• Ensure high standard housekeeping and good arrangement materials of work area is managed by workplace supervisor to provide an environment healthy and safe at all times.

• Provide ongoing support to Operational and Maintenance Personnel to address HSE issues and to contribute towards EHS improvement. Provide feedback on problems or areas for improvement.

• Continually monitor and follow up findings from SOP and audits on the site and update and supporting documents and evidence to uploading in Client system.

• Support the HSE Manager and team with planning, coordinating and implementing of effective HSE policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure that the department objectives are met. 

• Assist with developing HSE plans that comply with Company policies and procedures as well as client requirements. 

• Investigate and complete the process for close out of all Accident Investigation Reports and prepare/submit lessons learned to the Regional HSE Manager for promulgation to the management. 

• Ensuring design and operated performance standard are developed and maintained for all HSE critical system within drilling operation. 

• Closely involved in pre planning and execution of rig mobilization with regards of the drill site properness and appropriateness. 

• Develop, manage and coordinate HSE Policies, Hazard Control Systems as well as HSE Procedures to reduce risks of injury, damage or loss to human and materials. 

• Participated on the Steering Committee that developed action plans for safety improvement and injury reduction. 

• Monitor all quality related activities on the project site and perform all internal and external audits.

• Prepare HSE program such as, Internal Audit, Safety Campaign, HSE Leadership and Management Visit, due to preventive accident efforts and raised up HSE performance by awareness / behaviour. 

• Responsible for preparing written weekly and monthly HSE reports, statistics and presentations related to HSE performance Report to the HSE Manager. 

• Consult to client’s regarding emergency procedure, internal client regulation, and safe work practices and to communicate and have meeting with client. 

2. REPORTING 

• To provide accurate and timely reports for all accident investigations, hazard report register, weekly HSE report, monthly statistics, and ensure trends are monitored and information is available as required.

• Provide safety statistical information and trends to Departments monthly and as required.

• Reporting of all environmental health & safety incidents including company loss property.

3. TRAINING 

• To provide site inductions for all persons entering site, and ensure all persons have been assessed to be adequately trained to perform their duties.

• Manage the HSE training plan and training recorded requirements of company personnel.

• All employees and supervisors are provided with on-going training in HSE and discuss with Site Management for personnel that will be involved in the training session, plan and scheduled.

4. TEAM WORK 

• Ensure behaviors are consistent to enhance the team environment.

• Assist others to meet business objectives when required.

• Create a participative team environment.

• Participate in work based team activities.

• Work closely with the all HSE personnel’s including Client HSE Advisor to ensure the goals of the Company target and Objective are achieved to the required standard.

5. COMMUNICATION 

• Communicate openly and honestly at all times.

• Ensure everyone understands the HSE objectives and target.

• Develop, in consultation with the Site Manager and Department Managers, action plans that address identified key risks associated with the area of management responsibility.

• Inform and follow as directed by HSE Management when sensitive issues.

The successful applicant must have the following attributes, skills and experience:

• Candidate must possess at least bachelor’s degree in HSE-associated field.

• Proficient in English language both in verbal and written.

• Must have demonstrated experience in a similar sized and varied HSE management role, preferably within a mining-related industry.

• Must have a good understanding of prevailing Indonesian HSE regulations especially for the mining and related industries.

• Must have a good understanding and attitude towards effective and practical safety and environmental practices that are primarily aimed at protecting our people and the environment.

• At least 4 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

• Preferably having certificated competency like issued by occupational health and Safety, SMKP, POP. 

• Have a good manner and attitude.  

• Strong analytical and strategic thinker.

• Strong interpersonal skills & Presentation Skill

• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office is a must.

• Willing to be placed to work on site (project) with roster system.
