About the role

As the HSE Superintendent at PT Everde Global Mineral’, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety and environmental standards are met across our mining operations in North Kayong, West Kalimantan. This is a contract role, offering the opportunity to contribute to the success of our business during a key growth phase.

What you’ll be doing

  • Overseeing the implementation and monitoring of HSE policies and procedures to maintain compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices

  • Conducting regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential safety and environmental risks

  • Providing guidance and training to operational teams on safe work practices and environmental protection measures

  • Investigating and reporting on any incidents or near-misses, and ensuring corrective actions are taken

  • Collaborating with management to develop and continuously improve our HSE management systems

  • Preparing detailed reports and presentations on HSE performance for executive stakeholders

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar HSE supervisory role, preferably within the mining or resources sector

  • Strong working knowledge of occupational health and safety, as well as environmental protection regulations and standards

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with employees at all levels

  • Ability to think critically, problem-solve and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Proficient in data analysis and report writing to track and communicate HSE performance

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as occupational health and safety, environmental management or engineering

  • Must have a SMKP & Auditor Certification
