Candidate’s qualifications and experience :

• Welcome
  and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and
  address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and
  thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Ensure
  uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional, maintain
  confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Speak
  with others using clear and professional language.
• Develop
  and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to
  reach common goals, 
• Ensure
  adherence to quality expectations and standards; and identify, recommend,
  develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency,
  productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings. 
• Assist
  management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling,
  disciplining, motivating and coaching employees and serve as a role model.
• Present
  menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g about portions,
  ingredients or potential food allergies)
• Contact
  guests/parties prior to arrival to confirm reservations. 
• Inspect
  grooming and attire of staff, and rectify any deficiencies.
• Complete
  opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and
  tools. 
• Ensure
  staff is working together as a team to ensure optimum service and that
  guest needs are met.
• Daily
  opening meeting with Floor and Kitchen team to review daily specials,
  changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g
  parties or event)
• Ensure
  high levels of guest satisfaction
• Responsible
  for designing weekly Host/ess team schedules and provide it to management
• Prompt
  reply on answering the guests questions on Whatsapp business (e.g menu
  details, directions, etc.)
• Answering
  phones and scheduling reservations with large parties
• Inform
  customers about the day’s specials or promo
• Offer
  menu recommendations upon request
• Up-sell
  additional products when appropriate
• Communicate
  order reservations details to the Kitchen and Floor team
• Weekly
  and monthly report to management for walk-in and reservations

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILL:

• High
  School diploma required, certificate on hospitality is a plus.
• Proven
  work experience as a Senior Host/ess / GRO (Guest Relation Officer) on
  FnB.
• Proficient
  in reservation apps : Chope, Table Check, Whatsapp Business
• Fluent
  English is a must
• Leadership
  and team spirit.
• Active
  listening and effective communication skills.
• Computer
  literate (Microsoft office, Google spread sheet, Google drive etc.)
• Familiar
  with Google review and Social Media handling.
• Flexibility
  to work in shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Excellent
  guest service and interpersonal skills 
• Ability
  to remain calm and well organized under pressure while working quickly.
• Ability
  to priorities and maintain multiple tables at a time.
• Keeps
  emotions under control.
• Excellent
  time management skills.
• Strong
  verbal and written skills.
• Strong
  organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability
  to respond promptly to customer needs.
• Ability
  to communicate effectively with guests and Team Members.
• Must
  speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
