Primary Tasks Of The Role
Business planning and growth: The role involves developing and implementing business plans for a wide geographic region that will lead to sustainable business growth through a collaborative leadership.
Service delivery and quality: The role requires ensuring a reliable and consistent delivery of services in line with customer expectations and optimizing business performance through business acumen, well-thought out resource management and cost-conscious business operations.
Employee development and culture: The role entails supporting and encouraging employees in their individual growth, building and strengthening a strong collaborative culture based on company’s values, and fostering a supportive and high performing environment. Demonstrating compassion and care.
Strategy and decision making: The role involves collaborating with the Head of Department on strategy and decision making, and building a strong talent pipeline with a focus on development of technical talent/future needed capabilities.
Technical expertise and commercial opportunities: The role requires working with the team to maintain and strengthen required technical competences, driving commercial opportunities through all stages in the sales cycle, and ensuring that the deliverables like technical reports are up to the level of required quality and accuracy.
Team promotion and collaboration: The role entails promoting team capabilities internally and externally, and pro-actively collaborating with Segment Leaders and corresponding role(s) in other business lines to evolve the service portfolio and capture customer opportunities.

About You
Position qualifications for the position of Head of Section, Solar Project Engineering & Due Diligence:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, science or related field.
- Experience: More than 10 years of relevant experience, with technical consultancy in the Solar sector.
- Solar Experience: Experience in Owner’s Engineer, Lender’s technical advisor roles and/or technical due diligence. Understanding energy industry technology (modules, inverters, mounting systems/trackers, balance of system, etc.), exposure to contracts (construction, supply, operations, interconnection, offtake, and/or asset management contracts), familiarity with budgets and financial models
- Leadership: Ability to lead, encourage, develop, and motivate employees, with a proven HSE mindset and demonstrated behaviour-based safety mentality to develop a high-performance culture in a fast-paced and changing, complex environment.
- Commercial Awareness: Exceptional commercial awareness, good understanding of the market drivers and challenges, and proven business development ability within this sector.
- Technical Skills: Ability to check, guide, and approve project reports using excellent verbal and written communication.
