Head of Production

Develop the strategy and drive for manufacturing strategy implementation, ensure the achievement of operational goals for production process as well as result quality, proper cost budget utilization, maximizing efficiency and optimizing production levels and operational excellence.

 

Accountabilities

• Develop production strategy, policies, and procedures to achieve manufacturing business performance and to ensure the continuity of operations in the best level of quality, compliance, supply, and cost.
• Manage the master production, operations budgets, and technical decisions with line production leaders to ensure that the product is delivered to the agreed cost, quality, and timelines 
• Develop department budget proposal for CAPEX and OPEX 
• Drive the manufacturing projects to ensure the project’s KPIs are delivered on cost and on time for best quality standards including toll manufacturing business 
• Manage the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental and ensure any issues in production areas/facilities/storage are prioritized and facilitated to be aligned with the Ministry of Manpower’s UKK (Industrial Hygiene and Safety) standards
• Ensure the implementation of Continuous Improvement, review production performance, and proper investigation to manage factors that may affect product quality or any other deviation. 
• Build and maintain business collaboration with the Supply Chain, Quality Operations, ME EHS, and other manufacturing support functions 
• Facilitate the feasibility studies for accommodating new products for the purpose of site manufacturing transfer and managing the complex technology advancement
• Provide clear leadership to motivate staff and lead the training and development program to achieve excellence and ensure production line leaders’ capability to mentor team member
• Be the company culture ambassador for 4C core competency as well as for compliance and company/industry code of conduct
   

Education Requirements

Pharmacist degree is a must

Experience Requirements

• 5 years as Head of Production in the Pharmaceutical industry 
• Pharmaceutical industry experience is a must along with a good understanding of related pharmaceutical manufacturing standards (GMP, EHS, Halal)
• Strong pharma-process knowledge including GMP and other related regulations.
• Excellence in operational skill, through lean concept. 
• Business Acumen
• Good knowledge of business and financial control
