About Our Client

The company is one of the leading global industrial gases and engineering companies. The company serves a variety of end markets including chemicals & energy, food & beverage, electronics, healthcare, manufacturing, metals, and mining.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a multi-functional team consisting of Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams as part of overall Indonesia onsite Operations consisting of Air gaseous Production (ASU, Ecocar), H2 production, and power generation facilities in Indonesia.  
  • Maintain and develop good working relationships with Key customers. 
  • Maintain Safe, Reliable, and Efficient plant operations focusing on ongoing reliability and continuous improvement initiatives. Drive the reliability, efficiency/productivity improvement programs to ensure all resources are optimized. Develop and execute key action plans to improve overall operations efficiency.
  • Maintain plant assets following best practices with focus on condition-based maintenance and leverage on data as part of equipment performance monitoring. Implement replacement strategy for assets (spare parts, upgrades, services) as part of the equipment life cycle. 
  • Maintain well-trained staff with robust training & qualification programs. Implement cross-training to ensure staff are trained and qualified to perform tasks in a safe and efficient manner
  • Support the plant revamp and expansion by working closely with the Capital Project team to ensure smooth integration with the existing facility. Lead the overall plant Operations readiness in resources planning, design and construction support, plant commissioning, start-up, and taking over the overall accountability of plant operations 
  • Maintain a highly engaged and motivated workforce by partnering with HR in succession planning; talent assessment, development, and retention. 
  • Work closely with the Regional Operational team to share and implement best practices; coordinate technical operations support during plant outages and turnaround. 
  • Drive, monitor, and enforce compliance with all relevant internal and external regulations, standards, and work processes
  • Ensure implementation of the corrective actions from the audits, Root Cause Analysis, Alerts & Directives
  • Support investigation of any safety incidents, root cause analysis, and lead implementation of the corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Required Key Skills

  • Demonstrated success in leading & managing a large/diverse operation/ technical organization.
  • Good background in safety management with knowledge of hazards involved in the operation and maintenance of process plants
  • Proven performance leadership including goal setting, skill gap assessment, development & coaching.
  • Excellent leadership capabilities with strong communication, analytical, and conceptualization skills. 
  • Strong people and team management with the ability to lead and motivate a team as well as the ability to work with global and regional teams.
  • Excellent influencing and facilitation skills, experience in managing cross-functional groups and developing strategic relationships and networks (both internal and external)
  • Good commercial skills & experience with long-term gas supply contract negotiation relating to plant operations & thorough knowledge of drivers of profit and loss across all business segments.

Required Qualifications

  • Qualified Engineering degree preferably in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Related experience in Industrial Gas plant operations especially in Air Separation Unit (ASU), Hydrogen production, and Power plant operations
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in integrated gas/chemical/refinery plant operations followed by a Minimum of 5 years in a relevant management position
  • Experience in the management of multi-disciplines team 
  • Demonstrate key leadership attributes e.g. Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills, Proactive, Motivator, and change management. 
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities with tight timelines. 
  • Good understanding of project management and experience in leading change successfully.
  • Strong experience with customer relationship development.
