About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Head of Operations to lead a new large format retail store housing fashion, beauty, fashion accessories, toys and hobbies brands. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, implementing process improvements, and ensuring the delivery of an exceptional customer experience.

What you’ll be doing

• Develop and execute operational strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and profitability across all retail stores
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of retail stores, including staffing, inventory management, and customer service
• Implement process improvements and best practices to streamline operations and enhance the customer experience
• Analyse operational data and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of operations with other business functions
• Provide leadership and mentorship to store managers and the operations team
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior operations or retail management role
• Proven track record of driving operational excellence and delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, productivity, and profitability
• Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data-driven insights to inform decision-making
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Thorough understanding of retail operations, including inventory management, staffing, and customer service
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices
• We’re looking for candidates ready to start work with us in January 2025 to prepare for a Q1 first store opening.
• Preference for ex-department store/KKV/Miniso/Oh!Some or similar format stores
