A client of ours who operates in the Electric Vehicle (EV) space is looking for a seasoned Head of Legal who will oversee the legal matters of the organisation.

A client of ours who operates in the Electric Vehicle (EV) space is looking for a seasoned Head of Legal who will oversee the legal matters of the organisation. With their cutting-edge technology who is at the forefront of the sustainable transportation solutions, they are committed to revolutionising the automotive industry.

Description

Reporting directly to the Director, and being the most senior legal person in the organisation, our client is expecting the right candidate to work in a very lean organisation, and has the can-do attitude to oversee all legal matters by providing strategic legal guidance to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Other responsibilities include:

Legal Strategies:

• Developing and executing the organisation’s legal strategy to be aligned with the overall business objectives.
• Providing and offering legal advise and guidance to senior management and executives on a wide range of legal matters.
• Monitoring and ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards to the organisation’s operations.
• Establishing and implementing policies and procedures to manage legal and regulatory risks effectively.
• Overseeing the negotiation, drafting, reviewing and execution of various contracts, agreement and legal documents and ensuring that contractual terms are aligned with the organisation’s interests, in order to minimise potential legal liabilities.
• If required, protecting the organisation’s intellectual property rights including patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets.
• Providing guidance on corporate governance matters including compliance with corporate governance standards and shareholders relations.
• Participating in due diligence when required, or other strategic transactions.

Profile

This role is only opened for Indonesians who have the willingness to work in a lean-team, and ideally has worked in a start-up environment. Other requirement for this role includes:

• University degree in law from reputable university.
• At least 10 years of working experience in legal practice, with strong knowledge of corporate law, and commercial law, due diligence.
• Ability to manage stakeholders (local and international stakeholders).
• Industry background: ideally one who has a combined experience in law firm and an in-house experience for a start-up organisation. Or a candidate who has experienced in automotive are welcome to apply.
• High ethical standards and integrity.
• Ability to manage diverse users from commercial, manufacturing, support, R&D Team.
• Strong communication in both Bahasa and English.
• Ability to think strategically in solving complex legal issues.
• Ability to work in a very lean team, but has the right skill to manage diverse stakeholders.
