Description

Strategy, Execution, and Oversight

• Develop and execute the Digital & Technology (D&T) strategy for the local region, in alignment with the overall company strategy and priorities.
• Oversee the implementation of all D&T initiatives, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Prioritize and allocate resources for local D&T initiatives, ensuring that the most important projects are funded and staffed.
• Monitor and track the progress of all D&T initiatives, and make adjustments as needed.
• Ensure that all D&T solutions are successful by providing guidance and support to teams, and by pressure testing solutions before they are implemented.
• Provide technical vision and leadership, and authorize major plans and initiatives.
• Oversee the design and implementation of D&T principles, policies, and processes.
• Build and manage relationships with strategic vendors and partners to support the digital transformation.

Digital & Tech Activities

• Supervise data management and governance to ensure that data is readily available and of high quality.
• Oversee and guide the development of new digital and advanced analytics products.
• Ensure the implementation of the global enterprise architecture.
• Ensure that cybersecurity measures are in place and functioning.
• Maintain a contingency plan to ensure the integrity of systems, information, and business continuity.

Upskilling/Agile Acceleration

• Build and develop local capabilities in data, advanced analytics, digital product development, technology, and cybersecurity.
• Lead the implementation of Agile Ways of Working and cross-functional product teams, and support the digital upskilling of the overall workforce.

Leadership and Personnel Management

• Lead and build the D&T team by developing future leaders and succession plans.
• Develop and coach team members to ensure that they are aligned with the corporate culture.
• Represent the D&T function on the Management Team and drive the digital transformation of the operating company across all functions.
• Contribute to the development of a culture of inclusion and diversity, and role model inclusive leadership.
• Drive performance by recognizing and celebrating good performance, and by dealing swiftly with underperformance.

Profile

Experience

• 8+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in IT/digital transformation and 3+ years of experience leading a similar size organization.
• Business knowledge and understanding, preferably in the industry or at least in an adjacent one.
• Proven ability to deliver large, transformational technological projects.
• Experience with incorporating data and analytics in decision making.
