About Us
Munchies is a vibrant hospitality concept in Kuta, Lombok. By day, we’re a relaxed café serving artisanal coffee and fresh brunch dishes. By night, we transform into a lively restaurant, offering bold, flavorful menus in a social and energetic setting. We are now preparing to launch our brand-new dinner menu, and we’re looking for the right Head Chef to lead the kitchen into this exciting next phase.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to take full responsibility for our kitchen operations across both café and dinner service. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide a team of skilled Chefs de Partie, ensuring consistency, order, and high standards. The Head Chef will not only design and deliver excellent food but also create a motivated, structured, and positive working environment in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and inspire the kitchen team to perform at their best.

• Bring order, discipline, and structure to daily operations while fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere.

• Oversee the launch and execution of our new dinner menu.

• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation consistently meet Munchies’ standards.

• Manage supplier relationships, purchasing, inventory, and stock rotation.

• Drive cost efficiency through smart purchasing, waste reduction, and accurate costing.

• Train and mentor Chefs de Partie and junior staff for growth and consistency.

• Work closely with the front-of-house team for smooth and efficient service.

• Maintain rigorous hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as Head Chef.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and maintain a positive kitchen culture.

• Skilled in cost control, menu costing, and operational efficiency.

• Creative and adaptable, able to design menus for both casual café dining and vibrant dinner service.

• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
