Position Overview:

The Group Accounting Manager will oversee financial accounting and operational management for the Group’s construction projects. This role requires a detail-oriented professional skilled in accounting practices, with a focus on ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in financial operations. The Group Accounting Manager will work closely with project teams to support construction activities and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions related to construction projects.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger management for project activities.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and construction-specific financial requirements.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for construction projects.
  • Generate detailed financial reports on project progress, costs, and variances.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data and safeguard project assets.
  • Coordinate audits of project financials and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations and project management.
  • Utilize accounting software, particularly Xero, to streamline reporting and project financial management.
  • Lead and develop the accounting team, focusing on construction project support.
  • Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to align financial management with project objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on construction or real estate projects.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and construction project management.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights effectively.
  • Experience in project budgeting and financial analysis.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on collaboration and communication.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project-related priorities.
  • Commitment to ethical behavior and alignment with the company’s core values of ownership, transparency, and progressiveness.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent English proficiency, both written and spoken.
