We are looking for someone with: 

  • University Degree graduated.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Life insurance distribution function is required. Experiences in Agency Management, such as Recruitment, Sales, Training & Development
  • Results oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities and projects.
  • Leadership skills in achieving department, project, and individual objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence management at various levels of the organization.
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and recommendations orally and in writing, while considering the view-point of others.
  • Strong organization and project management skills. Excellent customer focus and a commitment to quality while still meeting deadlines.
  • Sees the big picture, but also pays attention to details.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

On the job you will: 

Strategic Business Development

  • To aggressively approach and build strong GA Pipeline which coming from :
  • Experience & performing Leaders / agents coming from the Industry (Small, Medium and Large Size)
  • Senior Professional Bankers
  • Identify the target segments (i.e. millennials, bankers etc) and profile of recruits and ensure initiatives and cross-functional plans are aligned to execute the target segment objectives
  • Outreach strategic recruitment of professional bankers, experiences teams/leaders from industry, included the interview session, follow up process, negotiation process, product update and until onboarding process
  • Develop and update pipeline of GA Candidate on a monthly basis
  • Be responsible for driving our inorganic growth program – including getting necessary internal approval on Financing business case and taking initiatives to drive the best outcome in negotiating with potential candidates
  • Working very closely with Territory Heads and CAO, General Agency Owners (including Head of GA Partnership), Agency Financing team, Training Team and in achieving the goals and ensuring there are no impediments for them to successful onboard the recruits as per the defined target segments
  • Working very closely with Agency strategic team, in regards-to prepare attractive financing scheme for the candidates
  • Handling onboarding process and coordinate with Agency Support team, from MiRecruit until coded and start to Sell
  • Manage directly the sales management activity and responsibility which included covered up for ABD (Agency Business Development) workload for the onboarding team

Strategic Development

  • Strive for innovation in capability development and recruitment needs fulfilment to ensure that strategy & development can take place in a manner that is best-in class
  • Working very closely with Agency strategic team, in regards-to prepare attractive financing scheme for the candidates

Planning, Monitoring and Governance

  • Endorse the short-term and long-term recruitment strategy for GA
  • Coordinate and monitor the effective planning and execution of GA recruitment initiatives
  • Monitoring the overall performance financing leaders, and conducting one on one session with GA Owner together with CAO GA to support and help the candidate to become more successful
  • Develop recruitment and support KPIs to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of each function
  • Periodic reporting to Chief Agency Officer according to the GA Pipeline, recruitment activities, costs, and performance as well as progress against KPIs and distribution channels’ target goal and objective.

Day to Day Operations

  • Drive high quality local operational strategy to ensure the processes are excellence
  • Ensure planning, development and recruitment program are sufficient, using knowledge of effective methods to meet the recruitment need and target
  • Intensively searching any potential leader/teams from industry and bankers including engage with GA Owners and Leaders and possibility Employees (referral program)
  • Review and evaluate recruitment financing programs, performance

Leadership and People Management

  • Through leadership behaviors, create and maintain an energetic, positive, and collaborative culture
  • Develop team to ensure that the highest quality of hiring practices are in place and further ensure continuous improvement in recruitment strategy
  • Manage, coach, and empower a team to lead each functional to deliver on the key business metrics and ensure compliance with functional areas’ policies, procedures and controls
  • Develop recruitment KPIs to ensure measurable success
  • Track employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews
  • Coach and provide career development advice to team members

Personal Development

  • Adopt AJMI culture of professionalism, integrity, effectiveness, dynamic, and customer centric attitude contributing to an internal environment of teamwork and promote positive brand image to Customers
  • Undertake relevant training and personal development course as mapped by HR Department
  • Comply with any specific responsibilities necessary as outlined by HR Department and ensure keep up to date with developments in these areas

  • Lead and supervise the performance of the team in doing projects for processes improvement so that projects can be completed on time with results as expected
