SUMMARY

The Manager for Production and QC is responsible and accountable in ensuring the quality integrity and on-time delivery of Deckers’ footwear products that are produced and shipped out from his assigned factories. He leads his team in collaborating with the factory production management to drive effective implementation of quality, delivery and priority programs that will improve the factory performance. He also monitors Materials issues that may affect production, checks finished shoe lab test reports and specimens, supports and helps in audits with regards to Laboratory, Restricted Substance, ESC program and Product Security in his assigned factories. Being a Manager, he is responsible in managing/supervising administratively the staff under him.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

QC execution and monitoring (70%)

• Ensure proper quality assurance and process controls are available and properly set-up in the assigned factory.
• Coordinate closely with the factory production and technicians together with Deckers devcom team in ensuring Tech trials are properly done to ensure that critical operations are identified and COVAs are prepared and that quality expectations are clear for production
• Drive effective implementation of comprehensive quality assurance covering Incoming Materials Quality Control (IMQC), in-process production controls, and finished goods storage controls including mold/mildew prevention
• Be responsible and is accountable for the quality of shipped products from the assigned factory
• Ensure effective implementation of quality control tollgates in production and in the outgoing final inspection
• Drive on-time delivery of production orders in coordination with the factory production and business team as well as Deckers factory production planning team
• Drive and monitor implementation of quality and productivity improvement programs

Team Leader (30%)

• Lead the team in monitoring the materials and FST testing review and audit in coordination with Deckers lab team
• Lead the team in providing on-site support to the ESC team in the monitoring and pushing compliance to ESC production standards
• Lead his team in monitoring of product security compliance upon request
• Manage / supervise the team administratively and leading them for continuous performance improvements
• Complete special assignments related to production and quality assurance

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Any Certifications Required

At least 4 years college education or Graduate of a Footwear Technical Course

Year(s) of Experience & Background Required

8 to 10 years working experience in a reputable footwear company in either production, commercialization, development, or quality control

Functional & Technical Competencies

• Comprehensive knowledge of footwear manufacturing processes.
• Good product eye and good abstract and colour recognition.
• Must have high moral integrity (non-corruptible)
• Thorough experience of footwear quality inspection
• Fluent in English
• Computer literate
• Work experiences in multinational companies will be a plus
