Job Summary: The Finance Accounting Section Head specializing in costing is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s cost data. This position plays a crucial role in developing, analyzing, and controlling costs, as well as providing insights to support management decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Management:

• Develop and maintain the company’s costing system.
• Review and analyze production costs and overhead expenses.
• Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and savings.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual costing reports.
• Provide variance analysis between actual costs and budget.
• Make recommendations based on cost analysis to support management decisions.

Planning and Budgeting:

• Participate in the annual budgeting process.
• Assist in long-term financial planning with a focus on cost control.
• Provide costing data for business strategy development.

Internal Controls:

• Ensure compliance with costing accounting policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain internal controls for the costing process.
• Conduct internal audits related to costing to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Collaboration with Other Teams:

• Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics departments to gather cost data.
• Provide training and support to the accounting team regarding costing.
• Communicate costing information effectively to management and other stakeholders.

System and Process Development:

• Identify and implement improvements in costing processes.
• Utilize accounting and costing software to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
