The Finance Analyst will report directly to the CFO. This is a key role for the organization as you will be expected to provide accurate financial information to management for decision making to optimise costs and minimize the risks to the company. Ultimately you are part of a drive to ensure effective and smooth formulation and execution of Company Strategy.

Description

1. Financial Analysis: Perform in-depth financial analysis to assess the company’s financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Analyze variances, key performance indicators, and ROI to assist in decision-making.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor budget adherence and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
3. Financial Reporting: Prepare and distribute accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and variance analyses. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
4. Data Interpretation: Interpret financial data and provide meaningful commentary to explain variances, trends, and anomalies. Communicate financial insights effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
5. Cost Analysis: Analyze production costs, pricing strategies, and product profitability. Identify opportunities for cost savings and margin improvement.
6. Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor performance. Use market insights to inform financial forecasts and strategic decisions.
7. Risk Assessment: Identify financial risks and opportunities and propose strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities. Assist in the development of risk management plans.
8. Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, scenario analysis, and investment decisions.
9. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including sales, marketing, operations, and procurement, to provide financial guidance and support decision-making processes.
10. Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting principles, and internal policies. Assist with financial audits and regulatory filings as necessary.

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Finance Analyst or similar role in the FMCG industry.
• Strong proficiency in financial analysis tools, including Excel, financial modeling, and data visualization.
• Knowledge of FMCG industry dynamics, market trends, and key performance indicators.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented, with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial software is a plus.
