Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is preferred
• Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), Brevet AB or equivalent. are preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or controlling.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in financial leadership or managerial roles.
• Prior experience in an international school or multicultural environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with managing budgets, audits, and compliance in a multicultural environment.
• Proven track record in leading finance teams and implementing financial systems and processes.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP), and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP,Xero or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support strategic decision-making.
• In-depth understanding of local and international financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience in identifying and mitigating financial risks.
• High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and confidentiality in handling financial matters.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1.Financial Management

• Develop, monitor, and manage the school’s annual budget in collaboration with the leadership team.
• Ensure efficient financial resource allocation to support academic and operational priorities.
• Oversee cash flow management, including forecasting and liquidity planning.
• Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for school leadership and board members.

2.Accounting Operations

• Supervise day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processing.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting standards.
• Reconcile bank statements and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure accountability.

3.Tax&Compliance

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns, including income tax, VAT/GST, and other applicable taxes.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the school’s operations.
• Provide guidance on tax-efficient strategies and ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations.
• Handle tax audits and liaise with tax authorities when required.

4.Strategic Financial Planning

• Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to school leadership.
• Develop long-term financial plans, including capital expenditure and investment strategies.
• Evaluate financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
• Support decision-making by providing cost-benefit analyses and financial forecasts for new initiatives or projects.

5.Compliance and Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Oversee external audits and address findings to ensure the school meets all regulatory requirements
• Monitor financial risks and develop contingency plans to safeguard the school’s financial stability.

6.Team Leadership and Colaboration

• Manage and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering professional growth.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment between financial goals and operational needs.
• Communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders, including school leadership and parents.

• Continuously review and improve accounting, reporting, and tax processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial data availability for decision-making purposes.
